MBA-The Indian Fantasy

As soon as somebody gets the wind of the fact that you are preparing for MBA some god installed hype or charisma gets attached to you.Working in one of the biggest multinational companies in India MBA was only an option ..never a necessity!!All my life i have seen people who have sacrificed their dreams and have accepted mediocracy as a way of life..i just refused to be in the same league. If you think you are a pathetic team player, cannot stand the artifice of the mediocracy of the people around you and an MBA is gonna take away all the worries ..think again!!!Coz after MBA u r goona land up in a job which is of the same type as you have done before and your woes are only going to increase.I am doing MBA coz i need the right platform to build on my technological skills with nuances in business..
Anyways..as November approached my preparations for CAT(the most hyped about entrance exam in India) went for a toss ..partly because of work pressure partly because of my laziness.By that time the colleagues have already started speculating that my CAT will be a complete disaster(considering i never studied). And then came the D-day..when i went to "try my luck" with a Few Lac dedicated CAT veterans..!!And those 2 Nd half hrs whizzed off even before it started and i came out..not very sad as i have done well Nd not very happy as i could have done better(if i would have stopped staring at a hot chick with a low-waist jeans in front of me). Then after few months of anticipation and little bit of anxiety the results came out and i managed to get some gd/pi calls(not from IIMS though). The gd/pi looked more like Miss Universe pageant to me and every group discussion i found out some morons shouting at the top of his/her voice as if their life depended on it.Finally after going through the gruelling interview questions from Kautalya's Arthasastra to Kareena Kapoor's wardrobe i managed to fetch(quite surprisingly though) some final calls...phew..##$$%%!!
I don't intend to grow India's economy at 200%..nor do i intend to make V-shaped underwear a norm in India's remotest village. All i want to do is to touch as many lives as possible ...and deep down i feel that the platform is somewhere missing!!and that's where an MBA fits for me..
